To enhance the company's independent innovation capability, promote the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, and cultivate innovative talent teams, in 2011, the company invited Academician Yang Shengli from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor Wei Dongzhi from East China University of Science and Technology and the team to jointly apply for the first citric acid industry Academician Workstation in China - "Shandong Ensign Industry Academician Workstation". The station was approved by five government departments: the Organization Department of the Shandong Provincial Committee, Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province, Department of Finance of Shandong Province, Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Shandong Province, and Science and Technology Association of Shandong Province and established in December 2011. 

The establishment of the workstation has promoted in-depth cooperation and exchanges between ENSIGN and research institutes as well as academic authorities, enhanced the company's scientific research capabilities, and provided strong intellectual support for the company in technological R&D, quality improvement, industrial chain extension, and talent cultivation. It has played a significant role in strengthening ENSIGN's development advantages and advancing the company's leap-forward development.
