In recent years, the company has actively responded to China’s "Zero-Waste City" initiative, driving source reduction and resource utilization of solid waste through technological innovation. It was recognized as one of the first batch of "Provincial Zero-Waste Factory" in Weifang City. Its subsidiary, SHANDONG JIEDUN ENVIRONENTAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL.CO., LTD., developed Weifang’s exclusive "Zero-Waste Product" successfully, establishing exemplary practices in source reduction, in-plant recycling, and resource utilization, leading the industry toward new heights of green circular development. 

Innovative Processes Lead Source Reduction 

As a global leading enterprise in the citric acid industry, Ensign Industry pioneered the hydrogen-calcium extraction process to address solid waste challenges, optimizing production workflows to reduce solid waste generation by over 30%. Through its self-developed citric acid crude gypsum processing technology, the resulting product quality surpasses industry standards, laying the foundation for subsequently transforming it into resources and using. 

Science and Technology Energize Resource Recycling 

In solid waste management, Ensign Industry invested in specialized processing projects, introducing more than 200 advanced equipment units such as autoclaves and gypsum separation filters. The subsidiary JIEDUN employs the self-developed crystal transformation technology to convert citric acid gypsum into construction materials like dihydrate gypsum, α-gypsum, and β-gypsum. These products meet industry standards and are widely used in cement building materials, home decoration, and ceramic molds, transforming 100% solid waste into resource. The company’s high-purity citric acid gypsum products can be widely used in ecological restoration, soil remediation, and agricultural fertilizers. Ensign Industry is currently spearheading the formulation of group standards for these products, to drive upgrades on industry-wide quality and development on industrial synergy, through standardizing technical index and process specification.

Ensign Industry collaborates closely with ecological and environmental authorities, adopting a full-chain management model of "Source Reduction-In-Plant Recycling-Resource Utilization" to reduce annual carbon emissions by approximately 600,000 tons.
